Overview
Banner Aircraft International is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Research Analyst to support the Purchasing Director, senior management, and the company’s strategic growth initiatives. This position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The role focuses on researching market and company data, identifying trends, cross-referencing information, and uncovering business opportunities with U.S. manufacturers whose products Banner can represent and distribute internationally. The Research Analyst will also aid the company’s vendor development activities by identifying, evaluating, and supporting relationships with current and prospective suppliers and manufacturing partners.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth research on aerospace manufacturers, suppliers, and product lines.

Analyze market trends, pricing structures, and demand across different regions.

Cross-reference technical data, part numbers, and supplier information.

Identify potential partnership and representation opportunities with U.S. manufacturers.

Support the company’s vendor development efforts by researching, screening, and profiling potential vendors and supply partners.

Assist management in identifying new supplier relationships that align with Banner’s strategic objectives.

Prepare structured reports and presentations for management decision-making.

Support Purchasing in supplier selection, sourcing strategies, and negotiation preparation.

Monitor industry developments, including MRO trends, PMA growth, OEM strategies, and emerging AI tools relevant to research and sourcing.

Use modern AI research tools to improve the speed, depth, and quality of research output.

Assist in building and maintaining internal databases of suppliers, products, and opportunities.

Collaborate with Business Development and Product teams to align research with sales strategy.
Requirements

Strong analytical and research skills.

Ability to process and interpret large volumes of technical and commercial data.

Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, BI tools, or similar).

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent written communication skills.

Strong verbal English communication skills are preferred.

Ability to present findings clearly and concisely.

Familiarity with AI research tools currently available on the market and the ability to use them effectively in day-to-day work.

Basic understanding of large language models (LLMs) and how they operate.

Basic to advanced AI prompting skills, with the ability to use prompting techniques to improve research quality and efficiency.

Background in aviation, engineering, supply chain, or industrial sectors is a strong plus.

Experience with cross-referencing technical data and part numbers is preferred.
