We’re currently looking for a Purchasing Manager to join our expanding team at BANNER AIRCRAFT INTERNATIONAL, INC (https://banner.aero/). We are situated in Hollywood, FL. This position is open to U.S. residents, and it entails supporting and enhancing selling and purchasing operations.  The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for taking the lead in sourcing and procurement of aerospace parts, component and LRUs.

 

Our company is an international distributor and supplier of aerospace components, materials, and GSE equipment. Our mission is to exceed customers’ expectations through continuous improvement process, development, and effective communication. 

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Decisive action on transaction opportunities and sales.
  • Developing and managing strategic OEM/supplier relationships.
  • Managing and optimizing inventory to enhance gross margins.
  • Developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement.
  • Creating Purchase Orders in ERP system, placing orders with vendors.
  • Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand for parts and material and develop procurement plans accordingly. This involves analyzing inventory levels and market trends to optimize procurement activities.
  • Lead and mentor a team of purchasing professionals, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure their success.

 

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position:

  • In-depth knowledge of the aftermarket parts industry and a broad network of contacts within the industry.
  • A highly motivated, seasoned professional capable of working with minimal supervision across multiple procurement disciplines, collaborating with individuals at all levels of the organization.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum five-year experience in aircraft teardowns, buying/selling aircraft components.
  • Experience in sourcing, forecasting, and procurement within the aerospace industry.
  • Expertise in Business Intelligence Tools.
  • Strong understanding of and prior experience with contract development, negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
  • Strong business communication and interpersonal skills.
