role purpose (mission)
We are seeking an Aviation Consultant (PMA & DGCA Advisor) to accelerate our PMA expansion in India and South Asia. You will guide Banner and our customers through DGCA policies and airline engineering approvals, remove regulatory barriers, and help convert technical approvals into safe, repeatable business. This role is ideal for a hands‑on regulatory practitioner with deep DGCA experience and a strong industry network.
Role purpose: Secure timely acceptance of PMA parts and related approvals in India; advise on DGCA requirements; support airline engineering and commercial teams through the full PMA introduction cycle.

your experience
- Required:
- 5–7+ years working with DGCA on airworthiness, continuing airworthiness, or regulatory compliance (e.g., former DGCA official, airline/MRO airworthiness engineer, quality/compliance head)
- Demonstrated success obtaining airline engineering acceptance and approvals for PMA or alternative‑to‑OEM components in India
- Strong network with technical and quality leaders at major Indian airlines and MROs
- Solid knowledge of aircraft components, maintenance practices, repair management, and documentation (e.g., engineering justifications, reliability, warranties)
- Native/Fluent Hindi and full professional English (C1); clear written and verbal communication
- High integrity, structured workstyle, and ability to operate independently
- Highly desirable:
- Experience aligning PMA acceptance with airline reliability/quality programs and vendor approvals
- Familiarity with FAA/EASA PMA frameworks and how they relate to DGCA acceptance
- Proven support of commercial teams in technical sales or value demonstrations (TCO, reliability, lead time)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aviation, or a related field
responsibilities:
- Regulatory advisory and strategy
- Advise Banner leadership on current DGCA requirements, guidance, and practices relevant to PMA acceptance and continued airworthiness
- Build approval roadmaps and risk assessments for priority PMA part numbers and operators
- PMA validation and airline approvals
- Lead end‑to‑end PMA introduction: data review, gap analysis, airline engineering engagement, trials, and final acceptance
- Prepare and coordinate technical packages (e.g., equivalency/eligibility, reliability evidence, cost/benefit, warranties) with airlines and MROs
- Track, document, and report approval status, timelines, and next actions
- Stakeholder engagement
- Maintain professional relationships with DGCA airworthiness officers and airline Engineering/Quality/Procurement
- Conduct technical briefings, trainings, and presentations to airline and MRO teams on PMA safety, performance, and economics
- Market intelligence and enablement
- Monitor regulatory and market developments impacting PMA, repairs, and component supply in India and South Asia
- Provide input to sales/marketing on target operators, part families, and positioning; support key customer meetings
- Compliance and governance
- Ensure all activities comply with applicable laws, DGCA rules, and Banner’s ethics and anti‑corruption policies
- Maintain accurate records, summaries, and approvals in Banner’s CRM/reporting tools
