As we accelerate our strategic expansion in South Asia, we invite high-caliber experts to apply for the position of Aviation Consultant in India, with a dedicated focus on DGCA regulations and PMA validation processes.
We are seeking a hands-on regulatory practitioner who deeply understands the inner workings, protocols, and policies of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in India. The ideal consultant will possess a proven track record of successfully navigating and securing approvals for Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) components within the Indian aviation ecosystem. You will act as our strategic liaison, bridging regulatory frameworks with commercial growth.

your experience
- Proven DGCA Track Record: Minimum of 5-7 years of successful experience interacting with the DGCA (e.g., as a former civil aviation official, airworthiness engineer, or regulatory compliance head within a major airline/MRO)
- PMA Subject Matter Expertise: A documented history of successful case studies involving the introduction, certification, or acceptance of PMA parts in the Indian aviation market
- Established Industry Network: Strong professional relationships with technical directors, quality managers, and decision-makers at major Indian airlines (e.g., IndiGo, Air India) and regional maintenance facilities
- Component & Maintenance Knowledge: Solid understanding of aircraft components, line/base maintenance, supply chains, and component repair management
- Communication Skills: Full professional fluency in English and Hindi is mandatory; excellent business negotiation and presentation skills
responsibilities:
- Regulatory Advisory: Provide expert guidance to the BANNER global leadership team on current DGCA regulations, airworthiness directives, advisory circulars, and upcoming legislative shifts
- PMA Validation & Approval: Lead and facilitate the end-to-end process of validating and securing DGCA and airline engineering approvals for PMA alternative parts across Indian commercial carriers
- Strategic Government Relations (GR): Establish, maintain, and nurture professional relationships with key decision-makers and airworthiness officers within the DGCA
- Technical Support to Sales: Collaborate with our business development team to advocate for the technical and economic benefits of PMA products directly to Engineering, Quality, and Procurement heads at Indian airlines and MROs
- Market Intelligence: Monitor the Indian aerospace sector to identify regulatory opportunities or barriers regarding the import, distribution, and repair management of alternative-to-OEM components
