role purpose (mission)
The Assistant Country Manager will help grow Banner’s business in Colombia. You will drive sales of aircraft parts and repair services, develop key accounts, build local partnerships, and support marketing and bid activity. We are looking for a hands‑on, commercially minded professional who knows the local aviation market, communicates clearly in Spanish and English, and converts opportunities into repeat business.

your experience
- Required:
- Native Spanish and fluent English (C1)
- 4+ years of B2B sales or business development in the aviation aftermarket (spares distribution, repairs/MRO, or airline procurement)
- Strong knowledge of the Colombian aviation market; understanding of broader LATAM dynamics
- Practical experience with component supply and/or repair management (RFQs, quotes, PN alternates, exchanges, warranties)
- Proven track record negotiating and closing complex commercial deals
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Aviation, or a related field
- Proficiency with CRM/ERP and Excel/Google Sheets; strong pipeline and forecast discipline
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and travel as required
- Highly desirable:
- Established relationships with decision‑makers at airlines, cargo operators, and MROs in Colombia and the region
- Experience in airworthiness programs and after‑sales service
- Portuguese proficiency
- Familiarity with Incoterms, import/export, and basic customs processes in Colombia and LATAM
- Experience with public/SOE tenders and vendor approvals
responsibilities:
- Business development and account growth
- Identify and qualify new opportunities; build and maintain a clear, well‑documented pipeline
- Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, meetings, RFQs, pricing coordination, proposals, vendor approvals, negotiations, and closing
- Grow existing accounts, secure repeat orders, and support longer‑term agreements
- Market and partnerships
- Conduct market research on fleets, maintenance plans, procurement cycles, and competitors
- Develop local partners and agents; explore new channels and, when approved, support setting up local presence or branches
- Work with the Area Director and global marketing team to tailor campaigns and sales materials for Colombia and Spanish‑speaking LATAM
- Execution and reporting
- Keep accurate CRM records, forecasts, and weekly reports for the Area Director
- Prepare concise sales performance and market trend reports
- Coordinate closely with Operations on quotes, repairs, exchanges, delivery dates, and after‑sales support
- Represent Banner at industry events, exhibitions, and customer presentations
